PLACES TO VISIT
Islamorada boasts three state parks, Anne's Beach, and several municipal-owned parks and conservation preserves. Volunteers on a Land Acquisition Advisory Committee were influential in acquiring land for preservation and passive visits that still are adding amenities for locals and visitors alike. Except for state parks and Founders Park, access is free, thanks to local taxpayers and grant funding for recreational and conservation purposes. Help maintain our beautiful areas by taking care of them like you would your own property. Take only photos, leave only footprints as Native American chief, Chief Seattle, is reported to have said.
