But there’s a need for a full sprint, if not a marathon, on this issue. If anything, the idea of bonefish on crack should prompt the public to demand a public water infrastructure that doesn’t let dangerous drugs slip through the system.”

Keys weekly: Taxes, spending top Islamorada council agenda

Highlights include: Spending like drunken sailors, strengthening ethics code (good idea, David), moving forward with Henry’s request to remove the cones from the Fills (hey, Mark, taking credit for Henry’s persistence?), dramatically increasing our millage rate (put the checkbook down, guys), and making changes to BPAS that only one Councilman can take advantage of (we’re looking at you, Mark).

Most of the agenda items should be pulled. We’ve got a new village manager coming in a few weeks. He should be at the helm for these decisions. Period. Full stop. Pun intended.
