It is crystal clear that four of the five Islamorada Councilmen have no idea how professional lobbying works, so they were easily manipulated by men from Tallahassee and Miami.
We were not, however, and will be dissecting this issue for the public in more detail in the coming week. $125,000 to a firm for duplicative services is highway robbery. The fact that the firm represents Big Sugar is incomprehensible.
Kudos to Henry Rosenthal for flagging this issue and for (always) fighting for Islamorada’s best interests and the taxpayers’ wallets!
